Los Angeles – The Senate and Assembly Judiciary Committees will be holding an informational hearing on Proposition 8: Amending the Constitution to Eliminate the Right of Same-Sex Couples to Marry. The hearing will be held Thursday, October 2, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ronald Reagan Building, 300 South Spring Street, Los Angeles, California.

SACRAMENTO— Landmark legislation by State Senator Ellen Corbett (D-San Leandro) banning toxic food packaging passed out of the Legislature and is headed to the Governor for action. This is the first state legislature to take action to ban toxic food packaging containing PFOA.
